Note: Patouche passed away Oct. 27, 2011 of old age.
He was 15 1/2 years old. He lived a sporting dog's dream life - hunting wild
birds every day of season with a hunting partner that he loved and was loyal
to and who deeply loved him, and siring many great pups. We have been
blessed to have had many great dogs that have lived their lives with us and
that we have mourned when they passed. But they live on in their offspring
and in the memories they made and the stories that we love to share. It's
not easy to lose a part of your family and Patouche will be greatly missed.
Champion
Best in Show winner - Ireland
Imported Stud
COMMENTS: We imported Patouche and he
became an invaluable asset to both our hunting operation and our
breeding lines. Patouche was bred in England, both of his parents -
Ivry de Keranlouan, who won Best of Breed at Crufts 1997 and a BOB in 1998 and Gallo de
Saint Thurial, winning Best in Show in 1995 and RBIS in 1994, were imported from France.
Patouche had beautiful conformation and an impressive lineage.
But most important is that he has a great nose and gets the job done in
the field like an absolute pro - steady to wing & shot, retrieves to
hand, loves the water and fills the bird bags with limits of wild
pheasants on a daily basis.
