Meet our Trainers
John, Master Trainer
John Pron is the newest addition to the Plum Creek family. He is a Texas native and has always had a heart for dogs. John and his father have been training and hunting their dogs since he was young.
He has always been a natural pack leader and amazing trainer. Growing up in South Texas he and his friends would train dogs on wild quail. He has over 15 years of hunting and training experience.
John works under the direction of Art & Mary Heitzler and is also being mentored by Bill Dillon. He trains dogs for obedience and hunting, and as a true student of the art of dog training, he is continually learning and improving his training skills.
Art Heitzler, Owner
Art Heitzler fell in love with the French Brittany breed in the 90's. He has owned six Epagneul Bretons from Plum Creek Kennels and Du Bois Courcol Kennels.
Art is a student of the skill. He began his journey with instruction by Bill Dillon. Art has also taken the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced courses with Rick and Ronnie Smith of HuntSmith and training courses with George Hickox.
Art has a passion for upland bird hunting and has gone all over the United States and parts of Europe hunting and training his dogs on Ruffed Grouse, Woodcock, Pheasant, Sharptail Grouse, Hungarian Partridge, Bobwhite and Mearn’s Quail.
Art continues to be mentored and trained by Bill Dillon and HuntSmith.
